The purpose of Methodist Hour International is to unite Christians around the world by using its mean, resources, and medium to communicate the common ministries of the body of Christ so as to create an increased awareness of the remarkable acts of faith happening world wide. It is our belief and experience that persons who become aware of the active faith-experiences of others are more likely to have an increase in their own faith. Non-believers as well, are affected in ways that draw them closer to a personal acceptance of Christ. |

Currently,
Methodist Hour broadcasts its 30 and/or 15 minute weekly programs over
approximately 33 FM and AM radio stations.
Methodist Hour broadcasts are also distributed to individuals, hospitals,
prisons, nursing homes, retirement homes and churches for use as an aid in
Christian education and spiritual growth. In 2000, in excess of
10,000 taps were distributed. Methodist Hour charges no fee for this
part of its ministry. From time to time Methodist Hour also produces
and/or distributes certain appropriate books and other pieces of printed
materials that increase the effectiveness of its ministry. MHI
promotes, on a weekly basis, the program of The Upper Room.
